Caltrain prohibits open alcohol containers on all trains after 9 p.m. following a special event.

The policy was implemented because of several events involving disruptive behavior by intoxicated passengers, to preserve a pleasant experience for all passengers.

Caltrain will continue to allow passengers who are considerate and responsible to have open containers on all regular trains and specials before 9 p.m.
