Parking at the San Mateo Caltrain Station is provided by an agreement with the City of San Mateo, which honors Caltrain Monthly parking permits. The garage offers 2-hour meters at 50 cent per hour and 10-hour spaces at a cost of 25 cent per hour. Parking is free after 6 p.m and on Sundays and City-designated holidays. Caltrain Monthly parking permits can be purchased from Caltrain Ticket Vending machines with the purchase of a Monthly Pass or two 8-ride tickets.

Additional parking is available at the Caltrain parking lot located at Second and South Railroad Avenues. Pay for daily parking in this lot at the Caltrain Ticket Vending machine by entering the parking space number.
