Construction at Burlingame Station
Overview
Caltrain began construction at the Burlingame Caltrain Station platforms in June 2007 to improve safety, pedestrian access and make train service more efficient. The project included numerous safety measures and reflects the historic station.
The $20.5 million construction project covered a range of improvements including accessibility and remodeling the Morrell Avenue crossing north of the station. The design included a pedestrian plaza, enhanced landscaping, wider sidewalks, custom shelters and new station fencing. Construction was completed in June 2008.
