Caltrain Slides Into McCovey Cove For Fanfest

San Francisco Giants fans can warm up for another season of Caltrain and baseball by taking the train to the 2006 KNBR/Giants Winter Fanfest Jan. 21 at McCovey Cove.

Caltrain offers hourly service from the Peninsula to San Francisco on Saturday during the hours of the fanfest (11 a.m. to 4 p.m.). From the Caltrain terminal at Fourth and King streets, it’s a two-block walk or a quick ride on the Muni Metro to McCovey Cove at Pier 48.

Not only will fans get a chance to meet Giants players and coaches at the fanfest, seasoned baseball train-riders may get a chance to get reacquainted with a favorite Caltrain conductor.

Caltrain will inaugurate a seventh winning season of baseball transportation with exhibition game service March 30 and 31 and at the Giants home opener on April 6.
