Caltrain Holiday Schedules And Free Rides On New Year's Eve
Despite the season, Caltrain doesn’t take a
holiday. In fact the agency is ramping up to
provide extra train service for homeward-bound
New Year’s revelers.
Caltrain will run on a
Sunday schedule
on Christmas Eve,
Christmas Day, New Year’s
Eve and New Year’s Day. The Sunday
schedule offers 28 trains operating between
San Francisco and San Jose.
New Year’s Eve, Caltrain will offer
free rides after 11 p.m. to encourage
New Year’s Eve partygoers to use the train as their designated
driver. And to accommodate those who want to keep
partying until the end, Caltrain will add three
post-midnight, southbound trains to its regular
holiday schedule, Jan. 1. These extra trains will
depart the San Francisco station at 12:45 a.m.,
1:30 a.m. and 2 a.m., making all local
weekend stops.

schedules, call 1.800.660.4287 (TTY 650.508.6448).
