Caltrain Construction and Maintenance: Oct. 12 - 17, 2008

Construction

Palo Alto
From Monday, Oct. 13 to Friday, Oct. 17, crews will continue to work during the day at the Palo Alto and California Avenue stations. This work is part of the Palo Alto stations project.

Maintenance

Caltrain will perform routine maintenance at several locations next week. To avoid train delays, the work will take place Sunday through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. There will be some construction noise from equipment used to accomplish the work, but crews will work as quietly as possible. San Francisco
From Tuesday, Oct. 14 to Thursday, Oct. 16, a crew will weld and grind the switches in the San Francisco station yard.

Millbrae and San Mateo
Wednesday, Oct. 15 and Thursday, Oct. 16, a crew will replace worn asphalt, rails, ties and ballast between the Millbrae and San Mateo stations.

San Mateo and Belmont
From Sunday, Oct. 12 to Thursday, Oct. 16, a crew will replace worn crossties between the San Mateo and Belmont stations.

Menlo Park and Mountain View
From Sunday, Oct. 12 to Tuesday, Oct. 14, a crew will replace worn asphalt, rails, ties and ballast between the Menlo Park and San Antonio stations.

San Jose
Sunday, Oct. 12 and Monday, Oct. 13, a crew will weld and grind the switches near the San Jose Diridon station.

Beginning on Friday, Oct. 17 and continuing through the weekend a crew will replace track panels near the San Jose Diridon station.
