Bridge Rehabilitation Projects - Replacement of Guadalupe and Los Gatos Bridges

Project will occur at two bridge sites:

• Guadalupe River Bridge
• Los Gatos Creek Bridge

Construction Cost:
$14 million (estimate)

Begin Construction:
July 2008

End Construction:
July 2009

Reason for Project:
This project is necessary to upgrade bridges, which have deteriorated with time and regular use.

Scope of Work:
Each bridge has specific requirements, however, a general review of the scope of work that will be done during this project includes:

• Replacing existing bridges with pre-stressed/ pre-cast concrete decks
• Rehabilitating existing abutments
• Replacing center piers
• Constructing erosion protection under bridge embankments
