Project will occur at four different bridge sites at the following mile posts:

• Tilton Avenue
• Monte Diablo Street
• Santa Inez Street
• Poplar Avenue

Construction Cost:
$40 million (estimate)

Begin Construction:
July 2008

End Construction:
July 2010

Reason for Project:
The project will replace these existing bridges that have exceeded their useful life with new structures that are consistent with existing seismic code and geometric design requirements.

Scope of Work:
Each bridge has specific requirements, however, a general review of the scope of work that will be done during this project includes:

• Constructing retaining walls to contain raised embankments
• Modifying roads to accommodate the raised bridges
• Replacing the bridge structures
