Proposed Youth Fare Change - Sept. 1, 2024

 

Caltrain will hold a public hearing at the Caltrain Finance Committee to take comments on three proposed fare structure changes impacting Youth riders. The first changes would go into effect September 1, 2024 and the second when Metropolitan Transportation Commission launches the Clipper Next Generation System (anticipated late 2024).

Key changes include:

  • $1 Youth One-way Fares (available through ticket machine, mobile app and Clipper effective September 1, 2024); $1 One Way fares are valid for one way travel for all zones within four hours of the date and time sold; No zone upgrade is needed
  • $2 Youth Day Passes (available through Caltrain station ticket machine and Mobile App effective September 1, 2024); $2 Day Pass fares are valid for travel through all zones on a single day, through the last train on the service day on which it is sold ; No zone upgrade is needed

$24 Youth Monthly Pass (effective upon Clipper Next Generation execution); Valid for use for the calendar month for which issued and includes travel through all zones.
