As the San Francisco 49ers’ preseason approaches, Caltrain remains the fans’ choice for traveling to Santa Clara’s Levi’s Stadium to see the action in person.
Kickoff for the preseason home opener against the Dallas Cowboys takes place Saturday, August 10, at 6 p.m. Caltrain will be operating its regular weekend service along the Peninsula, plus a special southbound express train prior to the game and an additional post-game northbound train.
From the Mountain View Caltrain Station, fans will be able to transfer to Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) light-rail vehicles to get to the stadium.
Following the game on Saturday, Caltrain will operate a special northbound train, which will depart approximately 75 minutes after the game, or when full. Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system. Tickets aren’t sold onboard trains but can be purchased at station ticket machines.
