Caltrain stands ready to take San Francisco Giants fans to their home opener at Oracle Park against the Seattle Mariners on Friday, April 4, with pregame festivities at 12:45 p.m. and the first pitch at 1:35 p.m.
Caltrain’s half hourly service will make it easy for Peninsula residents to catch home games all season long, offering up to four trains per hour during peak periods. Riders are encouraged to check the schedule for service to and from Oracle Park to ensure they are at the platform with a paid ticket before trains arrive and depart.
Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system; tickets are not sold onboard trains but can be purchased at station ticket machines, the Caltrain mobile app or Clipper. Day Passes purchased through the mobile app are valid on the day of purchase through the end of the service day. Clipper START riders can ride for 50% off a standard fare. Youth Fares are also $1 one way or $2 for day passes for passengers 18 and under. For fans looking forward to the rest of the season, attendees traveling as a group can save money as part of Caltrain’s package of fare discounts, by ordering a Group Day Pass at least nine days prior to the game.
Parking at Caltrain stations and permits can be purchased using the Caltrain mobile app or through ticket machines onsite. The mobile app can be used immediately after parking, as it requires a space number. Paid parking rules are enforced every day, including weekends and holidays.
Caltrain reminds customers that open alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the trains beginning at 9 p.m. on special event days.
