San Francisco Giants fans will have their first chance to celebrate the team’s 60th season in the City by the Bay by coming out to AT&T Park this Saturday, February 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., for the annual KNBR Giants FanFest.
Caltrain is ready to get fans to the ballpark by running trains with extra capacity to accommodate the larger crowds. AT&T Park is just one block away from Caltrain’s San Francisco station, so riders can get to FanFest easily without worrying about parking or traffic. Last year, Caltrain carried 521,932 passengers to pre-season and regular season Giants games.
At the ballpark, fans will have the chance to meet Giants players and coaches, get autographs and take selfies, engage in live Q&A sessions, walk out on the field, view the team’s three World Series trophies, and tour the clubhouse and dugout. KNBR will be broadcasting live from this free event for the length of the program.
Look for the Caltrain booth at FanFest this year. Pick up the new Caltrain/Giants schedule and if you download the new Caltrain Mobile app and show your ticket, you’ll receive a small gift. The app allows riders to purchase One-Way, Day Pass and Zone Upgrade digital tickets for adults and passengers who qualify for discounted fare.
Fans who purchase Caltrain tickets at stations on Saturday will find a “San Francisco” button on ticket machines. The button is a shortcut for buying a ticket to San Francisco, an advantage for new customers who may not be familiar with the ticket machines.
Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system; tickets are not sold onboard trains. To save time on the return trip, fans are encouraged to buy a paper or digital Day Pass. Clipper card users are reminded to tag on and tag off.
Caltrain reminds fans to drink responsibly and to remember that open containers of alcohol are not allowed on trains after 9 p.m. following special events.

About Caltrain: Owned and operated by the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board, Caltrain provides commuter rail service from San Francisco to San Jose, with limited commute service to Gilroy. Caltrain enjoyed more than five years of consecutive monthly ridership increases, surpassing more than 65,000 average weekday riders. While the Joint Powers Board assumed operating responsibilities for the service in 1992, the railroad celebrated 150 years of continuous passenger service in 2014. Planning for the next 150 years of Peninsula rail service, Caltrain is on pace to electrify the system, reduce diesel emissions by 97 percent by 2040 and add more service to more stations.
