Beginning July 1, the daily Caltrain parking fee at all station lots is set to increase by 10 percent.
Daily parking fees will increase by 50 cents, from $5 to $5.50. Monthly parking permits will also go up, from $50 to $55 a month.
Additionally, Caltrain will begin paid parking enforcement at the Belmont Caltrain Station lot. Parking had previously been free at the site, but will now cost $5.50 a day, and monthly parkers will need a permit.
All-day parking (24-hour limit) is available for Caltrain customers at most Caltrain stations. Higher rates are charged at the San Jose Diridon Caltrain Station parking lot during SAP events.
Caltrain's Board of Directors approved the increase to parking fees in December 2015. More information on Caltrain's parking rules and regulations can be found here.

###
About Caltrain: Owned and operated by the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board, Caltrain provides commuter rail service from San Francisco to San Jose, with limited commute service to Gilroy. Caltrain has enjoyed five years of consecutive monthly ridership increases, surpassing more than 60,000 average weekday riders earlier this year. While the Joint Powers Board assumed operating responsibilities for the service in 1992, the railroad celebrated 150 years of continuous passenger service in 2014. Planning for the next 150 years of Peninsula rail service, Caltrain is on pace to electrify the corridor, reduce diesel emissions by 97 percent by 2040 and add more service to more stations.
