San Mateo County Transit District Adopts Bonfire for Contracts

The San Mateo County Transit District has adopted Bonfire as its online procurement management system, allowing vendors and contractors that have accounts to receive notices when contracting opportunities (solicitations) are posted. In addition, the tool allows interested parties to review documents, ask questions and submit quotes, bids and proposals.

In addition to allowing for an easier interface between vendors and the agency, the new tool will save time and money for all parties involved. The District joins Golden Gate Transit and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission in using this new technology.

The District operates SamTrans, and provides administrative support for Caltrain and the San Mateo County Transportation Authority. The three Agencies will use Bonfire to manage all formal solicitations. Click here to learn more about contracting opportunities with the Agencies.
