Bay Area basketball fans looking to see the start of the 2024/2025 NBA season can take Caltrain to Chase Center to see the Golden State Warriors take on the Los Angeles Clippers for their home opener game Sunday, Oct. 27, at 5:30 p.m.

Fans can take Caltrain to the San Francisco Station at 4th and King Streets, where they can walk less than a mile to Chase Center or transfer to Muni Light Rail which is free with a Warriors ticket. Riders are encouraged to check the schedule for service to and from the arena to ensure they are at the platform with a paid ticket before trains arrive and depart.

Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system; tickets are not sold onboard trains but can be purchased at station ticket machines or via Caltrain mobile app. Day Passes purchased through the mobile app are valid on the day of purchase through the end of the service day. Attendees traveling as a group can save money as part of Caltrain’s package of fare discounts, by ordering a Group Day Pass. Clipper START riders can ride for 50% off a standard fare. Youth Fares are also $1 one way or $2 day passes for passengers 18 and under.

Parking at Caltrain stations costs $5.50 for the day, and permits can be purchased using the Caltrain mobile app or through ticket machines onsite. The mobile app can be used immediately after parking, as it requires a space number. Paid parking rules are enforced throughout the day.

Caltrain reminds customers that open alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the trains beginning at 9 p.m. on special event days and nights.
