Bay Area basketball fans looking to celebrate the Warriors’ Finals victory can depend on Caltrain to deliver them to the Championship Parade on Monday, June 20. The parade kicks off at 11:20 a.m. at Market Street and Main Street in San Francisco, and Caltrain will be running its regular weekday schedule with extra capacity on trains going to the parade.
Fans can take Caltrain to the San Francisco Station, where they can walk or take MUNI to the parade route.
Given the large crowds expected, riders are encouraged to purchase a Day Pass through the Caltrain mobile app or use a Clipper card to avoid lines at ticket vending machines. Riders using the mobile app must purchase their ticket on the day of the parade for it to be valid. Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system; tickets are not sold onboard trains but can be purchased at station ticket machines.
Parking at Caltrain stations costs $5.50 for the day, and permits can be purchased using the Caltrain mobile app or through ticket machines onsite. The mobile app can be used immediately after parking, as it requires a space number. Paid parking rules are enforced throughout the day.
Caltrain reminds customers that open alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the trains beginning at 9 p.m. on special event days and nights.
