Gates open every day at 11 a.m. ol18-outside-lands-logo-2018-large Leave the hassle of traffic behind and take Caltrain to the event. Take Caltrain’s northbound service to the San Francisco Caltrain Station at 4th and King and then hop on the Muni’s N-Judah line, and you’ll be a short seven minutes from the park. One of the most notable festivals in the city, previous years have hosted artists such as Metallica, Lionel Richie, Radiohead, Sam Smith and Kanye West. This year however, don’t miss the headliners such as Janet Jackson, Florence + the Machine, The Weeknd, and other talented performers. In addition, there will be wine, beer, food vendors, games, art and comedy. Music lovers are reminded that Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system; in order to save time, passengers are encouraged to utilize the new Caltrain Mobile ticketing app. Tickets are not sold onboard but can be purchased at vending machines at the stations. Clipper card users are reminded to tag on and tag off. Caltrain asks fans to drink responsibly and to remember that open containers of alcohol are not allowed on trains after 9 p.m. following special events. Parking at Caltrain stations costs $5.50 for the day, and permits can only be purchased through ticket machines onsite. Paid parking rules are enforced throughout the day. Parking permits cannot be purchased on the Caltrain Mobile app. For more information about Caltrain schedules and fares or for help planning your trip, call Caltrain Customer Service at 1.800.660.4287 (TTY 650.508.6448) or visit www.caltrain.com.
